Memorial services for James ""Billy"" Lerdal, age 56, a resident of LIVE Inc. in Lemmon, SD, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Prince of Peace Chapel of the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon. Pastor Bob Edwards will officiate with burial to take place at a later date.

James William Lerdal, ""Billy"", to his family and friends; was born in August 8, 1956 in Rapid City, SD to Carole Lerdal. He lived with his grandparents in Rapid City until the age of 14. He then moved to Redfield, SD and lived at the Developmental Center there. On September 1, 1998 he was moved to Lemmon, SD and had been affiliated with LIVE Inc. until his death.

Billy liked to stay active. He enjoyed being outside and just having the freedom to roam around. He loved listening to music and watching action/adventure movies. Billy was shy and didn't enjoy crowds, but he had a very fun and playful nature around his friends and caregivers.

Billy passed away on February 5, 2013 of a neurological disorder, at home with his mother at his bedside.

He is survived by his mother, Carole Lerdal, Rapid City, SD; two aunts, Joy Lerdal, Rapid City, SD and Mary Ellen Lerdal, Chamberlain, SD; and numerous friends at LIVE Inc. in Lemmon, SD.
