Jace Pruitt, age 22, of Elgin, ND, passed away on Sunday morning, October 22, 2023 west of Glen Ullin, ND.

Funeral services for Jace will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Elgin, ND.  Pastor Bethany Haberstroh will officiate with burial in the Bethesda Lutheran Cemetery south of Leith, ND.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. MT at Zion Lutheran Church on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

Jace was born on February 5, 2001 to Tim and Angie (Banyai) Pruitt in Bismarck, ND. Jace attended school at Elgin/New Leipzig school, where he graduated in 2019. He attended college at NDSCS for a short time. He then decided to come home and help his good buddy Bo at Wades. In the summer he also filled anhydrous tanks for Southwest Grain. He was currently employed at Jacobson Memorial Hospital as a plant operation's maintenance assistant. When he wasn't working you could find him helping anybody that needed it. Jace also enjoyed hunting, fishing, being at the lake, and hanging out with all of his friends and family.

Jace will be deeply missed by his parents: Tim and Angie (Banyai) Pruitt, of Elgin, ND, sisters: Lexi Friesz, of Elgin, ND, Kayla (Mason) Ulmer, of Elgin, ND, nephew: Jaxton Friesz, of Elgin, ND, grandmothers: Audrey Pruitt, of Elgin, ND, Helena Roth, of Glen Ullin, ND, grandfather: Nick Banyai, of Elgin, ND, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jace was preceded in death by his grandfather Richard Pruitt and his great grandparents.
