On October 29, 1944 she was married to Charles F. Brenner at St. John's Church in the Paradise Community of Grant County. The Brenner's were blessed with four children, Evonne & Margaret, born in Elgin, ND and Tom & Cathy, born in Dickinson, ND.
Isabelle loved to keep active and busy doing things. She participated in Homemakers Club while in North Dakota and in her church's women's missionary society in Montana and playing with her grandchildren while in Anchorage. She made many crocheted, tatted and broom-sick lace items for herself and others. She loved to travel and to sing. She must have had a song in her heart because she was always humming. She enjoyed helping her sisters lead sing-alongs at Dakota Hill in Elgin for many years before she became a resident there.
