Glenette Evelyn (Jones) Lyons, age 65, of Faith, SD, passed away on June 7, 2023 at her home on the family ranch.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023 at the Faith Area Memorial Chapel in Faith, SD.

Funeral services for Glenette will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Indian Creek Lutheran Church south of Meadow, SD.  Burial will follow in the Chance Cemetery.

Glenette was born on September 14, 1957 to Glenn and Evelyn Jones.   She went to school up until the 8th grade.  After leaving school she helped her family on the family ranch and running the Usta Store.  In 1993 she worked hard at getting her GED.  In 1979 she met and married James Ellard Lyons Sr.  Through this union came three children, Jamie, Candy and James.

Glenette enjoyed gardening, various collections, fishing, hunting, being outdoors, spending time with family and friends but above everything else she loved her card games and her grandchildren the most.

Glenette is survived by her husband, James Sr., Faith, SD; two daughter, Jamie (Joseph) Bohm, Faith, SD; Candace Lyons, Sturgis, SD; one son, James (Sasha) Lyons, Belle Fourche, SD; two brothers, Robert (Florence) Jones, Thorton, CO, and Charles Jones, Belle Fourche, SD; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Shelby, Evelyn, Glenn, Kaylynn, Gracen and Kody; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Fred Jones; one sister, Pearl Jones; one granddaughter, Grace Bohm; two nieces, Sue and Tammy; one nephew, Fred Jr.; and numerous aunts and uncles.
