Funeral services for Gilmer O. Anderson, 89, lifelong Hettinger County Farmer/Rancher, will be Friday, January 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Mott, ND. Rev. John Amundson will officiate and burial will be at a later date in the Alden Cemetery, south of Regent, ND. Visitations will be from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2008 at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Mott and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday afternoon

Gilmer passed away on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at the Triumph Hospital in Mandan, ND.

He is survived by his wife, Alice, of Mott, four daughters, Arlis (Tim) Effertz, Minot, ND, Diane (Rodger) Auen, Tioga, ND, Laurel (Myron) Mosolf, Jamestown, ND and Donna (Tim) Zeltinger, Glenburn, ND; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; sister, Marian Larson, Frazee, MN and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gilmer was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Ruth, Harriet and Grace, one brother, Sidney and one grandchild.
