Gerald Ernest Rose, 90, passed away December 19, 2021 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck, ND. He was born August 26, 1931 at Wolf Butte in Adams County, ND. He was the eldest son of Walter and Muriel (Krause) Rose. In his early years he attended country school near Reeder, ND. He was always a cowboy at heart. As an adult he worked numerous jobs including heavy equipment operator, dairy farmer, rabbit rancher, and finally found his calling as a carnival worker for the Mighty Thomas Carnival. He had many happy memories and made a point of visiting old friends whenever the carnival came to Bismarck. He spent slightly more than 12 years at MSLCC and loved visiting with the staff and other residents, always taking the chance to give everybody a bad time. His sense of humor will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Don and Arlene Rose, New England, ND; his daughter, Kimberly; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.  He is preceeded in death by his parents, and his "Sis", Arlene Kellar. Gerald was a cherished brother, uncle, and friend to many. We would like to thank the staff of Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center for his care since October 27, 2009. He really felt at home there.
