The memorial service for Gary Alan Foss II, age 54, of Bismarck, ND, will be at the Prince of Peace Chapel of the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon, SD, on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. MDT. Rev. Tera Kossow will officiate with private family burial in the Greenhill Cemetery in Lemmon, SD.

Gary Alan Foss II was born June 2, 1964 in Dickinson, ND, to Gary and LaVonne (Christianson) Foss. He grew up on the family farm south of White Butte, SD. Gary attended school in Lemmon and graduated in 1982 from Lemmon High School. He worked at Haynes Equity and did custom harvesting for several years, then started trucking; hauling about everything that could be hauled with a semi. He moved to Bismarck, ND in 2003 and worked for Braun Distributing and Dvorak Motors and then returned to trucking until the time of his death.

Gary loved to go fishing and working on anything with a motor, he could fix anything. He enjoyed riding his Harley and had the gift of gab and loved to laugh with his buddies. Gary passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.

Gary is survived by his two sons, Gunnar Foss of Lemmon, and Thomas (Taylor Hansen) Foss and granddaughter Lily on the way; the love of his life, Faye Foss, step daughter, Alicia Cuny, step granddaughter, Vanessa Cuny; mother-in-law, Joanne Cuny, all of Bismarck; mother, LaVonne Foss, brother, Rick (Julie Jahner) Foss; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his dad, Gary Foss, in 2010, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and great grandparents.
