The Prayer Service for Frieda Wohl, age 93 of Glen Ullin, will be held at 1:30pm on Tuesday March 25, 2014 at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Elgin. Rev. John Amundson will officiate with burial in the Terrace Gardens Memorial Estates in Billings, MT.

Frieda Charlott Wohl was born December 12, 1920 in Cranz, Germany to Max and Gertrud (Bolz) Bartel.

Frieda came to the United States in 1949 and married Oscar Schafer. They lived in New Leipzig, ND for many years before moving to Montana. They later divorced. She married Otto Wohl in 1965 and they lived in Billings, MT for their married lives. Frieda was employed at the Sugar Beet Factory in Billings for many years.

Frieda moved to Bismarck in 1996 to be near her sister Doris. She resided at Marillac Manor in Bismarck until she entered Manor Care Nursing home in Minot in 2009. She then moved to Marian Manor nursing home in Glen Ullin in November 2013 to be nearer to family. She became very dear to the staff at both of the nursing homes she lived in.

Frieda passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Marion Manor Healthcare Center in Glen Ullin, ND.

Frieda is survived by her niece Linda (Gerry) Mostad and their family; nephew Les (Tracy) Ivarie and their family.

Frieda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Otto, her siblings, a brother in law Ernest Ivarie, nephew Ken Ivarie, and a great-nephew Chris Ivarie.
