Francis Dean Zoeller was born on August 3, 1947 at the family farm north of Mott, ND to Francis Andrew and Lena Mae (Raab) Zoeller.  He attended school in Mott, graduating in 1965.

On January 23, 1967 he married Geraldine "Gerri" Hoffer in Mott.  They celebrated 52 years of marriage on January 23, 2019.  To this union two children, Kim Kay and Wade Thomas, were born.   Over the years Dean worked road construction, farmed, was a long-distance truck driver, and worked at a cement plant.  He lived most of his life in his home town of Mott.

Dean's faith, family and serving others were most important to him.  He always had a smile and was willing to lend a helping hand where needed, putting others before himself.  He would say that scripture says we are to take care of the widows and orphans.  He did what he could to fulfill that.  Dean peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at his home in Mott.

He is survived by his wife Gerri, his children, Kim Imhoff, Dickinson,  ND; Wade Zoeller,  Farmington, NM; his granddaughter Brianna Imhoff (significant other Derek Grondahl), Dickinson, ND; his sister, Jo Ann Moody, West Fargo, ND; and his brother, David (Karen) Zoeller, Lemmon, SD.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers James and Alois, his sisters Helen Johnson and Alice Brown, his brothers-in-law Robert Johnson, Edwin Neisent, Everett Brown, and Richard Moody.
