Funeral services for Evonne "Bonnie" Seamands, 66, of Hettinger, ND will be Monday, November 12, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hettinger Lutheran Church in Hettinger. Rev. Kathleen Dettmann will officiate and burial will follow at the Hettinger Cemetery. Visitations will be from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11 at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Hettinger and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday morning at the church.

EVONNE HOPE OSTENBERG was born on August 29, 1941 at Hettinger, ND to Clarence and Alice (Samdahl) Ostenberg. She attended Regent Country School through the eighth grade and Regent High School. Bonnie married Lowell Jerome Seamands on May 31, 1958 and together they began raising a family of four children while they lived in Hettinger, ND. In 1990 Bonnie and Jerome moved to Loveland, CO and resided there until 1999. They then moved back to Hettinger.


Bonnie's family was her number one priority. She loved her grandkids and great grandkids dearly. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and nature all-together. Bonnie found great solace in her pets and was a wonderful wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Bonnie passed away at the West River Regional Medical Center in Hettinger, ND on November 7, 2007.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jerome, of Hettinger; her daughter, Kim (Tim) Donner, Fayetteville, NC; three sons, Scott (Kim) Seamands, West Fargo, ND, Corey (Mary Beth) Seamands, Tucson, AZ and Charles (Sarah) Seamands, Pierre, SD; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Alice Rogne and an older brother, Gary Ostenberg.
