EVA EMINETH was born on December 14, 1928 at Brisbane, ND to Sebastian and Rose (Kuntz) Emineth. She grew up in the Brisbane area where she attended country school. In 1942, the Emineth family moved to Leith where she worked on the farm and then began working in Carson at a café where she met Edgar Finck. They were united in marriage on April 5, 1948 at New Leipzig, ND. They lived and farmed with their parents, the Finck's and Emineth's, before purchasing their own farm in 1955. To this union four children were born, Carol, Peggy, Dallas, and Perry. In 1987, she and Edgar moved into Elgin. In addition to helping Edgar on the family farm and milking cows, she raised a large garden and did a lot of canning. She worked home health care in the Elgin area and at Dakota Hills.
She loved playing cards, sewing, dancing, and visiting with friends. Eva always enjoyed going to the farm to ride along with Perry to check the cattle and the crops. She loved to help Perry and Brody with the cattle and moving machinery or wherever she could be of help. She enjoyed her special times with Christy and helped her with her homework and playing games. She really enjoyed it when her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren came home to visit, that was her pride and joy.
Eva passed away on Wednesday morning, April 10, 2013 at the Jacobson Memorial Hospital in Elgin.
