Memorial services for Ethel Zeller, age 75, will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Carson, ND.  Rev. Samuel Beibert will officiate with burial to be held privately at a later date.

Ethel passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Jacobson Memorial Hospital in Elgin, ND.

Ethel Flitsch was born on November 8, 1938 to Leo and Marie (Bachmann) Flitsch.  She grew up on the family farm south of Heil.  Ethel attended a rural grade school and graduated from Leith High School in 1957.

She was united in marriage to Albert J. Zeller on February 11, 1960.  To this union five children were born, JoAnn, George, LuCinda, Kristine and Marnie. Ethel and Albert began their married life together on a farm south of Leith, ND.  In 1963 they moved to Leith where they owned and operated the Leith Bar until they retired in 1980

Albert passed away in 2002 and Ethel moved to Carson.  In the last year or so, her health deteriorated and she had been in and out of medical and nursing facilities.

She enjoyed the many friends and activities that came with running the Leith Bar.  In her 'time off', she enjoyed working in her garden, fishing, riding her motorcycle and helping with the Leith Food Coop.  As the years moved on, she spent time on sewing projects, a good game of cards and time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her five children, JoAnn (Wally) Czerwinski, Reiles Acres, ND, George (Annette) Zeller, Carson, ND, LuCinda (Eric) Pincince, Franklin, TN, Kristine Zeller, Carson, ND and Marnie (Shannon) Selstedt, Wichita, KS; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters and three brothers.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents Leo & Marie Flitsch, her husband, Albert & 1 grandchild.
