The funeral service for Emma Rieger, age 91 of Mott, will be held at 10:00am Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Mott Good Samaritan Society Chapel in Mott, ND. Pastor Corey Warner will officiate with burial in Sunnyslope Cemetery at Mott.

EMMA ISZLER was born on July 22, 1923 to Gottlieb and Pauline (Imhoff) Iszler in Grant County, ND. She was baptized on April 13, 1924 and attended school in New Leipzig. She lived with her parents in Lemmon, SD until 1959, when they moved to Mott.


Emma worked as a waitress and dishwasher at the café in Mott. She also worked at the Good Samaritan Home-West Center for six years.
Emma was united in marriage to Herbert John Rieger on Sepetmber 21, 1974 at New Leipzig, ND. They lived in Mott. Her husband passed away on April 28, 1984. They were members of the Zoar Congregational Church.

She entered the Mott Good Samaritan Society in December of 2009. She passed from this life there on November 27, 2014.

Emma enjoyed embroidering and textile painting.

She had many friends and considered the staff at the nursing home part of her family.


She is survived by her brother, Art Wahler, New Leipzig, ND and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be on Friday one-half hour prior to services at the Mott Good Samaritan Society.
