Ella M. Rokusek, age 77 of Mott, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 29, 2022, at the Mott Good Samaritan Society in Mott, ND.

A Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 1:00 to 5:00pm at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Mott.

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am MT on Friday, April 1, 2022 MT at Zoar Congregational Church in Mott, ND with Pastor Corey Warner, officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date at the Neuburg Cemetery.

Serving as casketbearers are Donald and Alan Mosbrucker, Kelly Heisen, Danny, Jay, and Roger Kirschemann.   All of Ella's grandchildren are considered Honorary Bearers.

Ella May Rokusek (Kirschemann) was born in Regent, ND on July 30, 1945, to Theo and Martha (Schmer) Kirschemann. Ella was born, raised and went to school in Regent, ND. She was the 3rd youngest daughter of 14 kids in the Kirschemann family.

Ella married Roger Rokusek, her husband of 54 years until his death in late 2015, on September 23, 1961. They went on to have four beautiful daughters together. They farmed and milked cows north of Burt for 27 years where they taught their daughters to work hard and to respect and appreciate everything in life. Roger and Ella moved to Bismarck in 1989 and returned to Mott in 2012.

Ella worked at Interstate Laundry while in Bismarck, ND before their return to Mott.

She took great pride in her German dishes and was an excellent seamstress. Ella also enjoyed gardening, quilting, spoon collecting and playing cards with neighbors and friends.

Ella is survived on this earth by her brothers, August (Lucille) Kirschemann, Mott, ND and Roger (Ruth) Kirschemann, Bismarck, ND; sister, Leona Pyles, Portage, IN; daughters, Rhonda (Steve) Fox, Cave Creek, AZ; Sherry (Kerry) Mosbrucker, Mott, ND; Sandra (Robin) Richter, Beulah, ND; Robin (Mark) Starck, Bismarck, ND; grandchildren, Donald (Katie Smith) Mosbrucker, Mott, ND, Magen Miller, Mott, ND, Alan (Beth Erickson) Mosbrucker, Hettinger, ND; Brandi (Kelly) Heinsen and Mariah Richter, Beulah, ND; Haley and Wyatt Starck, Bismarck, ND; great-grandchildren, Charlee, Claire and Cloe Miller, Mott, ND; Emmett Mosbrucker, Hettinger, ND; Kynleigh and Keston Richter, Beulah, ND; and Oliver and Luna Smith, Mott, ND.

Ella is preceded in death by her husband Roger Rokusek, her parents Theo and Martha Kirschemann, her brothers Jake, Harold, Edward, Albert and Art Kirschemann; her sisters Lorraine Larson, Lavern Fulcomer, Martha Kroft, Adeline Frieze and Debbie Robertson; and her great granddaughter Caydee Miller.
