Elizabeth Wiegand, age 82, of Mott, ND, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the Jacobson Memorial Hospital and Care Center in Elgin, ND.

Elizabeth Ava Wiegand, beloved wife, mother, and community member, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, at the age of 82.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Elizabeth eventually made her home in Mott, North Dakota, where she spent the majority of her life. She was the devoted wife of George Wiegand and the proud mother of four sons: Sam (and Michelle) Wiegand of Kasson, MN, Andrew (and Maggie) of La Crosse, WI, Greg (and Stephanie) of Lead, SD, and Chris of Rochester, MN.  She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Danica, Isabelle, Ava, Levi, Eli, Savannah and Aliyah.

Elizabeth dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a certified nurse and housewife, and her compassion extended far beyond her career. She was a tireless volunteer at Zoar Congregational Church and Mott Public School, where her kindness, warmth, and unwavering faith touched many lives.

Her legacy is one of service, love, and quiet strength. Elizabeth will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her deep devotion to family, and her commitment to her community.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at Zoar Congregational Church in Mott, ND, on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. MT. Family, friends, and all whose lives she touched are invited to attend and celebrate her life.
