Alice Schoch was born on, "the 5 th month the 22 nd day, 1933" in Schefield, ND to Jerome and Emma (Binstock) Schoch, the second oldest of 14 children. She grew up on the family farm helping with chores, cooking, and caring for her siblings.  She had a very strong work ethic and had energy that far surpassed the "Energizer Bunny."

Alice met the love of her life, Lawrence Candrian, at baseball games played in Schefield, ND.  They were united in marriage on June 3, 1959. They made their home on a dairy farm near Regent, ND raising their 4 children and kept busy with their farming operation, planting their vegetable gardens, and were always on the cutting edge to learn new things.  Alice learned how to use an iPhone and iPad and loved connecting with family and friends.

There were no strangers with Alice.  She welcomed everyone with open arms and genuinely cared for everyone's well-being.  She was a servant to all but especially to her Savior Jesus Christ whom she loved unconditionally.  She enjoyed cooking and baking and was famous for her caramel pecan rolls and all varieties of strudel.  She encouraged her children to dream big and follow their dreams.  Alice loved spending time with her brothers and sisters, and always looked forward to her "Sisters' Weekend" every year.  She enjoyed crocheting, dancing polkas and waltzes and keeping her house immaculate.  She also found time to clean other homes, as well as St. Henry's Church in Regent.

Alice is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Lawrence; 4 children Gerard Candrian, Tomball, TX; Dennis (Kim) Candrian, Beulah, ND; Denise (Doug) Wiseman, Bismarck, ND; Michelle (Joe) Maher, Bismarck, ND; 9 grandchildren, Heather (Andres) Victoria, Ariel (Ryder) Johnson, Derek (Hanna) Wiseman, Drew Wiseman, Kayden Candrian, Connor Candrian, Nolan Maher, MaKensie Maher, Gavin Maher; 5 great-grandchildren Karter and Kenzie Victoria, Burke and Cora Johnson, Holden Wiseman; 12 brothers and sisters Ron (Dolores) Schoch, Sr. Ann Schoch, Sr. Ivo Schoch, Ivo (Joan) Schoch, Veronica Weber, Rita (Rod) Anheluk, Leona (Boniface) Knopik, Clara (Richard) Greff, Beasy (Howie) McGlothlin, Alton Schoch, Melvin (Silvia) Schoch, Callen (Janel) Schoch; brother in law Bernard Candrian; brothers and sisters in law; Virginia (Melvin) Kessler, Marcella Kennedy, Leroy Candrian, Florence (Joe) Dawang, Martha (Rich) Wallace, Pat Candrian, Patty (Duane) Lemke ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
