EDNA E. WOLFF was born October 29, 1917 at rural Wishek, ND to Fred and Lydia (Klein) Wolff. The family moved to Haynes, ND and then to the Meadow area. Edna did domestic work and babysat for area farmers and ranchers.
She was united in marriage to Olav Lensegrav on March 20, 1936 at Lemmon, SD. For a time, they lived in Minnesota and returned to Perkins County in 1937. Edna and Olav lived on a place east of the Carl and Anna Lensegrav farm. Born to this union were four children, Larry Lee, Gary, Dave, and Kathy. The Lensegrav's farmed and ranched southeast of Meadow until moving to Spearfish in 1981, living there until 1987. Since that time, the Lensegrav's have lived south of Meadow to be near their sons. Olav passed away on June 27, 1991.
Edna passed away on Sunday morning, November 8, 2009 at Five Counties Nursing Home in Lemmon.
Edna spent many hours working in the fields summer fallowing with a 55 Massey Harris. She was an excellent bread baker making as many as 17 loaves, which she enjoyed giving away.
Edna spent much time reflecting on God's word and how it applied to one's life and wrote her thought's into a journal to live by. Your first and last thought must be how to please God. How can I live the Will of God better? Renew your faith in God each day and you will realize and know God prospers in the tuff times and performs miracles if only you believe all things are possible with God. You are called to be servants and stewards to gleam the Earth with Righteousness. Go tell mankind God dwells within each one and loves everyone. You are called and chosen to love all people-neighbors each one in Love and Concern, you are your brother's keeper.
Steer away from all limitations, you shall receive according to your expectations. Never even once dwell on limitations, cant's, wants, and don'ts. Remember, thoughts become things, so be careful what you think. When one makes the absolute decision to absolve the outside barriers and controllers, perfect peace shall become their portion.
