Doris Norma Pfliiger was born November 29, 1932 in Carson ND to Waldo and Minnie (Brinkman) Woodbury.

She passed away July 30, 2012 at Jacobson Memorial Hospital in Elgin at the age of 79.

A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. MT Friday August 3, 2012 at the Grant County Fair Building in Carson. Cremation has taken place and no visitation will be held.

Doris graduated from High School in Carson. She married Norman Pfliiger August 31, 1949. They farmed and ranched south of Carson and raised 4 children; Douglas (Suzy), Audrey Dahners (Jeffrey), Doyle (Maria), and Daren. Norman and Doris have 10 grandchildren; Scott (Stacey), David (Roxi), Larri (Brian), Amber (Josh), Carey (Ryan), Jorey (Amanda), Ashley (Jeremy), Jessie (Travis), Lori (Jason), and Daniel (Julie). They were also blessed with 20 great-grandchildren; Layne, Mikayla, Lakyn, Destiny, Rylee, David, Halle, Bree, Shayli, Jace, Addison, McKenzee, Connor, Austin, Brooklyn, Autumn, Makinlee, Lane, Lauren, and Deklan.

Her family was her pride and joy. Doris loved to collect antique dishes and have her house decorated for Christmas. She worked for hours in her beautiful flower gardens (she could make anything grow!). Doris was an avid cook; she always made sure everyone was fed when they stopped by and that the guys had their meals when they were out in the field. Her grandchildren will always remember her "hot" dill pickles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Jodi; and a brother, William.
