Doris was born March 26th,1938 in Tappen, ND to Conrad and Johanna (Bucholz) Stadel. They later moved to Mott, ND then to Baker, MT where Doris graduated from high school in 1956.

On June 3rd,1956 Doris married Duane Heath in Baker, MT.  They were married for 64 yrs.  There were four children born to them. Arlis Heath of Dickinson, Lynn (Michele) of Hettinger, Dinah (David) of Center and Dean Robert who died in infancy.

Their first home was in Bowman, ND and in 1966 the move was made to Hettinger where Duane opened their plumbing business, Heath Plumbing and Heating. Doris was privileged to stay home and take care of her family and the home. She was a member of the Hettinger Lutheran Church where she taught  Sunday School,  Bible school and was a member of the ladies circle. She also served as a Den mother for Boy Scouts. Doris also enjoyed bowling for many years and volunteered at the Food Pantry. Doris enjoyed watching and feeding the birds and collecting porcelain birds and butterflies.

In October of 2020 they moved to Dickinson where they resided until they were called home.

Doris' biggest joy was her family, whether it was cooking a holiday meal or making pizza and milkshakes with added spatula! She enjoyed going to as many events as she could that her kids and grandkids were involved in. She even enjoyed all her grand pets!

Doris or "Granny Doris" she became when her grandkids were born, will be remembered for her pancakes and waffles, milkshakes and her chocolate cake with white frosting. Her phones calls everyday at the same time or her weekly calls to the grandkids. There are many great memories and so many people that loved her!

She was preceded in death by her husband Duane, son Dean, her parents, Great Grandson Jacob and four brothers.

She is survived by three children, five grandchildren, Nathan (Tessa) Heath, Matthew Heath, Amanda (Daniel) Robertson, Cody Hilliard (Megan), Tanner Schleve (Fiancé Kasey), ten Great Grandchildren, Addison, Aiden, Nicholas, Benjamin, Johanna, Ryan, Blake, Boone, Scout and Ava and her brother Duane Robert.
