Dorene Phyllis Brabazon, 74, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Western Horizons Living Center in Hettinger, ND.

Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lemmon, SD, with refreshments to follow. Visitation will be on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Chapel of Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon. Rosary and Vigil will be at 7 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Chapel.

Dorene (Dori) Phyliss Tishmack was born on
September 11, 1950, to John and Bernice Tishmack (Blotsky) in Lemmon, South Dakota. She attended St Mary's Catholic School in Lemmon and was the oldest of five siblings.  Dorene married Dennis Brabazon on February 4, 1967, in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  The couple renewed their vows on February 4, 1977, at St Mary's Catholic Church in Lemmon, South Dakota. During the early years of their marriage, the couple lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa; Haynes, North Dakota; Coquille, Oregon; and Tacoma, Washington before permanently settling in Lemmon, South Dakota in 1973.

Dorene loved to dance and grow flowers, country western and classic rock music, socializing with family and friends, card playing, and enjoying fishing and camping with family and friends.  She was very spiritual and often attended Catholic Retreats at differing
locations in South Dakota prior to her health
issues.  Dorene received her greatest joy teaching head start and catechism to children.  Dorene entered the Kingdom of Heaven on July 28, 2025.  Dorene's
presence was a blessing for many; her passing has left an emptiness that may never be filled.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Brabazon; her son Lyle Brabazon (Christina); her daughter from the heart, Tammy Brabazon; Sister Myrna (Mahlon) Schweigert; brother Kenneth (Patricia) Tishmack;
brother Gordon (Licia) Tishmack; numerous aunts,
uncles, nieces, nephews, and special family friends.

Dorene is reunited in Heaven with her parents, John and Bernice; step-father Bill Rafferty; sister Arlys
Christiansen; son Robert (Bobby) Brabazon; in-law
parents Francis (Lyle) and Emily Brabazon; sister(s) in-law Jean Rosenberg; Beverly Rafferty; and, Bernice Englehorn; brother in-law Ronald (Sonny) Brabazon; and all who have positively touched her life that have passed before her.
