Donna Wiens, 89, previously of Elgin, North Dakota, died peacefully on February 4, 2025 in Heber City, Utah while being cared for by her daughter Jill (Wiens) Parkinson. Although she no longer resided in Elgin, Donna had many wonderful friends and family there, as well as many fond memories.

Donna was born May 11, 1935 in Leipzig Township, North Dakota to Otto C. and Ann (Nuss) Hintz. She was the second of six children.

Her passions were gardening, baking, playing the piano, and playing various games with her Elgin friends.

Donna is survived by three daughters- Jolyn (Darryl), Lori (John), Jill (Edward), 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her sister Ruth (Paul), and brothers DuWayne (Connie), Stan (Muriel), several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Donna in death was her husband Al (2018), her parents Otto and Ann Hintz, her sister JoAnn Ryherd, her brother Jim Hintz (Barbara), and grandson Jeffrey Hann.

There will be small graveside service at the Ebenezer Cemetery with immediate family, where she will be laid to rest alongside her late husband Al Wiens who passed in 2018.

Private services will be held for Donna's immediate family.
