Donald Charles Martin was welcomed into this world by his parents Charles and Marjorie (Ross) Martin on March 8 ^th , 1941 in Eureka, Montana.

Don graduated from high school in Scranton, North Dakota. He served as an apprentice electrician and an electronics repair technician before entering college. He studied and was awarded a bachelor's degree in music from Dickinson State College in Dickinson, North Dakota. Don taught music in the South Heart, ND school system and also taught music in Humboldt and Lancaster, Minnesota for many years. After retiring from teaching, he moved to Regent, North Dakota in 1994.

Among his interests were listening to classical music, cooking, and watching older sitcoms with Columbo being his favorite. For a number of years Don played piano at Faith Lutheran Church.   He enjoyed feeding and watching the squirrels in his back yard and visiting with his many friends.

Don passed away at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Mott, North Dakota on February 28, 2020.

Don was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving him are his Colorado family brother Glenn (Judy), nephew Brad (Marcy), niece Janice (Darnell), many cousins, and friends in the Regent area.

A gathering to celebrate his life will be held in Regent at a later date.
