Dominic
Eidam-Osterloh
Sep 12, 1990 — Aug 3, 2025
Lemmon
Dominic Eidam-Osterloh, 34, of Lemmon, SD, formerly of Sioux Fall, SD, passed away on August 3, 2025 at West River Health Services in Hettinger, ND. No services are planned at this time.
Dominic Joseph Orlow Eidam-Osterloh was born in Rapid City, SD in 1990 and moved to Amarillo, TX with his mom and big brother, Rick, in 1994. The family moved to Alcester, SD in 2000, where he graduated from high school in 2008. In Dec of 2013 he was awarded a BS degree from SDSU in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies - Philosophy, Psychology, and Comparative Religious Studies. In Aug of 2022 he completed his Master's in
Analytics - Artificial Intelligence through Dakota Wesleyan.
Dominic was passionate about people, learning, and music. There is not a stringed instrument made that he couldn't pick up and play as though he'd had years of instruction. Let him hear a guitar/banjo riff for the first time and he could replicate it note for note. He also enjoyed composing his own unique melodies. Since 2010 he and his 'brothers' Mike Yaeger, Chad Konrad and Jon Wallner played together as The Tinder Box. Touring, recording albums, winning awards, providing music for movies, and anything else they could think of to promote a love of music.
He was also passionate about his career in Fraud Risk. He was certified in Anti-Money Laundering, among many others. One instance which defined who he was in this world was when he noticed anomalies in an account and investigated. Ultimately, his work led to the break-up of a major human trafficking ring . . . and a "thank you" call from the FBI.
Too many interests to list here. If you knew our Dominic, you knew his many passions. One thing he would want you all to do is to never stop learning and never forget to find the joy in little things.
Dominic is survived by his momma, Kathy, brother Rick (Alex) Eidam, Ebony, Daisy, Isaac, brother Jesse (Emily) Osterloh, Moira, Percy, father Jack Osterloh, and Grandmother Virginia Cox. He was predeceased by grandparents Orlow and Jule Eidam and Jerry Osterloh.
Dominic's family and friends are encouraged to sign his online guestbook and share memories of their time with him.
