The funeral service for Dick Mock, age 89, of Lemmon, will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Lemmon. Pastor Ron Nelson will officiate with burial in the Bucyrus Cemetery at Bucyrus, ND.

Special music will be provided by Marilyn Willey.

Serving as casketbearers are Ken Schopp, Wayde Atkinson, J.R. Stockert, Paul Rowe, Charlie Hammand, Jim Lorenz, Rodney Wise, and Bob Dietz. All of Dick's family and friends are considered honorary bearers.

DICK CLIFFORD MOCK was born on February 15, 1925 at Watauga, SD to Richard and Fern (Brown) Mock. He attended school at Watauga. He became acquainted with Lois Lien and they were united in marriage on November 30, 1945. To this union a daughter, Claudia was born.

Dick attended radio school in Rapid City and also drove a taxi cab in his favorite town. The Black Hiills were his paradise. He then went to work at the elevator in Thunder Hawk and then for the railroad. He also worked at the Lemmon Airport, as a farmhand for area farmers, and as a salesman at Peterson's Furniture and Implement for many years.

Dick moved to Sturgis and worked at Jacobson Ford and then returned to Lemmon where he worked for John Behrmann in his automobile maintenance and gas station.

The love of his life, Lois, whom he loved more than "apple pie", passed away on September 3, 1997. Dick was a caretaker for her during her illness and dialysis she endured 4 times a day.

Dick married Fanchon Lien. They enjoyed traveling together to California to his brother, Roy's. He again was a caretaker for her during her illness until passing away March 8, 2009.

Dick enjoyed baking cookies, cakes, and pie's for shut-ins, especially for his family during the holidays. He also enjoyed dancing, especially waltzes and polkas. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.

Dick passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck.

Surviving family members include his daughter and son-in-law, Claudia and Harlan Enerson, Bucyrus, ND; 2 grandchildren, Tammy and her husband Kevin Hoy, West Fargo, ND; Jamie Enerson and his wife Nikki of Bucyrus, ND; 3 great grandchildren, Jacob and Kayla Hoy, and Elyse Enerson; a brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Vickie Mock, Seeley, CA; and a sister, Leola Gehring, Salt Lake City, UT.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lois, his wife Fanchon, brothers-in-law, Frank Gehring, Nolan Lien, Merle Lien, and Darrel Hadley, and sisters-in-law, Ellen Mock, Norma Hadley, and Shirley Lien.

Visitation will be on Tuesday December 9, 2014 from 1:00 to 7:00pm at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon.
