Dennis James
Keller
Jul 17, 1946 — Sep 24, 2024
Tomball
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dennis James Keller, affectionately known to many as "Denny," on September 24, 2024, in Tomball, Texas. Denny was a loving father, cherished grandfather, beloved brother, and dear friend, whose bright spirit and love for life touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Born on July 17, 1946, in Lemmon, South Dakota, Denny lived a life full of passion, adventure, and generosity. He proudly served his country in the Army and National Guard from 1966 to 1972, earning accolades for his dedication. After his service, he found his calling in retail when he started working for his Uncle Don Beeler at Snyder Drug. He especially excelled in the sports and outdoors sector of retail, where his natural charm and love for the outdoors made him a trusted friend to many.
Denny had a deep love for nature, spending countless days fishing, hunting, and simply enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. He had a unique talent for card tricks, delighting friends and family with his performances. His stories—often filled with humor and a little embellishment—made him the life of any gathering. Denny had a way of making everyone feel welcome, cared for, and loved. His infectious smile and warm personality will be missed by all who knew him.
Denny is survived by his son, David Keller, and daughter-in-law, Kindra; his treasured grandchildren, Aiden and Cheyenne; his sisters, LeeAnn Jensen and her husband Rich, and Kim Keller; his niece Alicia Edsen and her husband Andy; his nephew Cody Jensen and his wife Elizabeth; and his beloved great-nieces and nephews, Chloe, David, Jules, and Ashton Edsen, and Jay and Lane Jensen. He is reunited in eternal peace with his parents, Leo and Fern Keller.
A celebration of Denny's life will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Burroughs Park Pavillion, 9738 Hufsmith Rd. Tomball TX, 77375. Friends and family are invited to come fish with Denny one last time to share in honoring his memory. Please See invitation for more details: https://www.punchbowl.com/parties/6705fd27eb58ec1c4847
An additional Christian Funeral Mass will be held in the Black Hills of South Dakota on June 26, 2025; more details will follow from the family.
Denny's laughter, love, and unforgettable presence will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through the stories, smiles, and love he so freely gave.
His friends and family from the South Dakota area are encouraged to sign his online guestbook and send cards through the Evanson Jensen website or here through the website of the funeral home in Texas that is handling his care, Ridgemont Memorials.
