Dennis Lee Crevier was born in Lemmon, SD on March 7, 1944 to Spencer and Clara (Viken) Crevier and joined two siblings, Phyllis and Marilyn.  He was raised on a farm near Meadow, SD where he enjoyed riding his horse Spot.  He attended Hayhill School #3 and in 1958 his family moved to Lemmon where he attended Lemmon High School.  During high school he was employed at Emmett's Uptown Mobile Services.

On December 28, 1961 Dennis enlisted in the US Navy and sailed to Japan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and other ports of call.  On February 26, 1965 he was honorably discharged and returned to Lemmon where he married Sharon Rieker on June 5, 1966.

In their first three years of marriage, Dennis owned and operated Dennis's Uptown Mobile Services as well as started a family.  After selling his business he moved his family to Missoula, MT where they lived for 2 years while he worked for a lumber company and an asphalt hot plant.  They once again returned to Lemmon where Dennis worked for different farm and ranch operations, drove truck, and even traveled to Wyoming to work in the oil fields.  The 20 years prior to retirement, he worked for Wheeler Manufacturing.  After retiring, Dennis enjoyed working part-time as a snow-plow driver for the South Dakota Department of Transportation.

Dennis truly enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow and he loved teasing them.  He also had two favorite sidekicks - his dogs Gus and Missy.  Dennis loved tinkering in the garage, hunting, gardening, rodeo, and watching westerns.  Dennis took great pride in his involvement in the VFW - Post 2969 and Brattvett-Green American Legion Post #66 where he served on the honor guard.

He was lovingly cared for at home by his wife.
