Funeral service for Delores Raab, age 81, of Mott, ND, will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Evangelical Church in Mott with Richard Wyman offciating. Burial will be at Sunnyslope Cemetery. Visitations will be on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Mott and one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday morning. A family service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday December 22, 2010, at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Mott, ND. Special music will be provided by Pat Schwartz and MiChelle Finck. Serving as active casketbearers are Dennis Raab, Douglas Raab, Calvin Raab, Terry Raab, Lonnie Hummel and Dean Zentner. All grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends are honorary casketbearers.


Delores Louise Plunkett was born March 26, 1929 to Daniel Henry and Anna (Soehren) Plunkett on the family farm near Burt, ND.


She was married on June 12, 1947 to Andrew Verne Raab in Baker, MT. They resided in Mott, ND. In the next 17 years, their family was expanded with 11 children, all still living.


Delores worked different jobs in Mott, including Mott Bakery, Fairway Grocery, and Ben Franklin. Her husband Verne passed away December 22, 1985. After her retirement, Delores enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitching and was an avid reader. Delores passed away December 17, 2010 at MedCenter One in Bismarck, ND.


Delores is survived by her children; Roberta (Tom) Tilson, Casper, WY, Dennis (Mary) Raab, Carson, ND, Sharon (Ray) Taylor, Miles City, MT, Douglas Raab, Fargo, ND, Glenda (Tom) Masulis, Tucson, AZ, Calvin Raab and special friend Julie Turbiville, Elgin, ND, Cindy (Cliff) Schatz, New Leipzig, ND, Tim Raab, Mandan, ND, Wanda Norton and special friend Shawn McFarland, Mott, ND, Norman Raab, Mott, ND, Terry Raab, Fargo, ND; 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; special cousin, Geraldine Weiler, Spokane, WA and special friend, Janice Kelsch, Mott, ND


She was preceded in death by her husband Verne, her parents, brother Gerald, sister in-law Clara, daughter in-law Madonna Raab and her mother and father in-law.
