Delores Long, age 92 of McIntosh passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Five Counties Nursing Home in Lemmon.

The Funeral Service for Delores will be held at 2:00pm MT Friday, March 31, 2023 at the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Lemmon.  Pastor Spencer Allen will officiate with burial in Greenhill Cemetery.

Delores June Peterson was born on June 29, 1930, to Robert and Winnie Peterson at her grandparents' home north of Thunder Hawk, SD.  She grew up on the family farm north of Lemmon, SD.  Delores attended grade school in the country and graduated from Lemmon High School.

On November 7, 1948, she married Arthur Long at the Presbyterian Church in Lemmon, SD.  To this union two children blessed their home, Jonabeth in 1949 and Steve in 1958.

Delores and Art lived for a time in Lead, SD, before moving back to the Long Ranch near Meadow, SD.  In the spring of 1957 the family moved to a ranch north and west of McIntosh, SD, where they settled and raised their children.

Delores was a woman of deep faith and very devoted to her family.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the highlight of her life.

Delores passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at the Five Counties Nursing Home in Lemmon, SD, with her family by her side.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jonabeth and Bob Mollman, Watauga, SD; eight great-grandchildren, Page Mollman, McIntosh, SD, Bo (Sonya) Mollman, Yankton, SD, Blaine (Cassie) Mollman, McIntosh, SD, Preston (Mandy) Mollman, Watauga, SD, Molly (Bryan) Campbell, Sioux Falls, SD, Rachel Waddell, Rapid City, SD, Tyler (Toni) Long, Belle Fourche, SD, and Jessica (Derek) Oster, Overland Park, KS; twenty-two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by brothers, Robert (Karen) Peterson, Lemmon, SD, Rolland (Jane) Peterson, Lemmon, SD, and Kenneth (Pauline) Peterson, Aberdeen, SD; Sandra Peterson, Sturgis, SD; Eileen Peterson, Spokane, WA.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Art; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sharon; brothers and sisters-in-law Charles and Rosemary Peterson, Ruth Peterson, and David Peterson; and one great-granddaughter, Madelynn Mollman.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
