Delores Caroline (Roll) Lee, age 85 of Hettinger, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the West River Regional Medical Center in Hettinger, ND surrounded by her loving family.

Delores C. Roll was born on January 27, 1938 in rural Mott, ND, to Michael and Rosa (Reichert) Roll. Delores was raised on the family farm just outside of Mott, ND with 6 brothers and 7 sisters.

Delores met the love of her life, John Lee. They married on November 28, 1957. They enjoyed dancing, roller skating, fishing and farming. Together they raised 6 children on the farm located north of Haynes, ND. Delores worked at Super Valu in the bakery and as a CNA in the Nursing Home when their children were younger. Along with milking cows and feeding calves, raising chickens, gardening and enjoying her fishponds, she loved baking cakes for friends and family celebrations, especially her children and grandchildren's weddings. Her passions were crocheting, collecting dolls, baking and cooking.

Later in life, she experienced warmer climates, fishing, and traveling to Alaska, Florida and Arizona with, Marlin Schneider, her second husband, and family.

Delores C. Lee is survived by her husband, Marlin, and her 6 children; Roderick Lee, Pembine, WI; James (Lori) Lee, West Fargo, ND; Charles (Jodee) Lee, Malta, MT; Rhonda (Lonnie) Erbes, Colfax, ND; John (Darlene) Lee, Wahpeton, ND; and Brad (Charlotte) Lee, Hettinger, ND, 18 grandchildren; Jessie (Bill) Sprister, Brandon Lee, Brian (Sheena) Lee, Eric (Jenny) Lee, and Alex Lee, Lance Lee, SuSann Lee, LeAnn (Curtis) Haas, Dustin (Kayla) Erbes, Brianne (Ben) Watkins, Jacob (Meghan) Erbes, Bryon Nuenthel, Josh Nuenthel, Cody (Samantha) Nuenthel, Laci (Rob) Shelton, Tylor Lee, Derek Lee and Bailey Lee; 26 great grandchildren, five sisters-in-law; Betty Roll and Norita Roll, both of Mott, ND; Norma (Don) Sipma and Doris Lee, both of Hettinger, ND; and Arlys (Wes) Ketterling, Urbandale, IA, and many nieces and nephews. She was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Lee, her parents Mike and Rosa, her 6 brothers; John, Jerome, Sebastian, Paul, Marty, William and 7 sisters; Eva, Annie, Barbara, Viola, Rosella, Gladys and baby girl, Selma.

The prayer service will be held at 7:00pm MT on Friday, July 28th, 2023 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church located at 405 3rd St N, Hettinger, ND. The memorial service will be held at 1:00pm MT on Saturday, July 29th, 2023 at the Centennial Chapel of the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, 700 2nd Ave South, in Hettinger, ND with Fr. Greg Hilzendeger and Fr. Charles Zins, officiating. Inurnment will be at Hettinger Cemetery.
