David K. Meier age 60 of Belle Fourche, died suddenly at his home from natural causes on Monday March 26, 2007.

The Memorial Service will be held 11am Friday at the Christian Life Center in Belle Fourche, with Rev. Paul Howard officiating. Funeral arrangements are with Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche.

David Karl Meier was born September 24, 1946 in Rapid City. He was the son of Karl and Lola (Dodds) Meier. In 1959 he moved with his family to Spearfish where he graduated from high school in 1964. In 1969 he graduated with a degree in business from Black Hills State University. For many years, David has been a Masonry Contractor. His workmanship with rock was especially well known.

David's greatest joys in life were his children. He took great pride in all of their accomplishments. He enjoyed golfing, (especially with his son Wyatt), fishing and boating. During his younger days in college he played baseball. While his kids were growing up he enjoyed coaching their teams in the various sports they were involved in.

David is survived by his sons Wyatt Anderson-Meier (attending the University of Wyoming) of Belle Fourche, Lee Meier (attending the University of MN) of Sioux Falls; daughters, Chloe Anderson-Meier of Belle Fourche, Amy Meier (attending the University of MN) of Sioux Falls; mother, Lola Meier of Rapid City; brother, Robert (Pam) Meier of St. Louis Park MN; and sisters, Carol (Michael) Iwen of Rapid City, Patricia Meier of Laramie WY, Margaret Hebert of Seattle WA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Karl Meier; and infant daughter, Sara Jane.
