David B. "Dave" Jacobs, 51, of Mott, ND passed away at his residence in Mott, ND on Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 due to an apparent heart attack.

Memorial service will be on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mott, ND. Rev. John Amundson will officiate.

David Brian Jacobs was born in Elgin, ND on January 30th,1959 to Peter L. Jacobs and Elsie (Wolff) Jacobs. He attended grades one through three in Chico, CA and grades four through eight in Mott, ND. David graduated from Hebron High School in 1978 and worked on his parents' dairy farm north of Mott. He also spent several years working in the oil fields. David graduated from Pine Technical Institute in May 1988 at Pine City, MN with a degree in Gunsmithing Technology. Dave then started his business at his parents' farm north of Mott. In February on 1995, he moved to a building in Mott where he continued Gunsmithing until his death on Friday February 26, 2010.

Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He truely enjoyed building custom guns and "gun talk".

Dave is survived by his mother, Elsie Jacobs, of Richardton, ND; two brothers, Darryl (Melinda) Jacobs, of Cabot, AR, Kenneth (Lori) Jacobs, of Woodward, OK; one sister, Jenifer (Corey) Jacobs-Waite, of Richland, WA; three nieces, two nephews, many cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, neighbors and customers.

Dave was preceded in death by his father, Peter L. Jacobs, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
