In 2003 he accepted a position for the City of Belle Fourche, as Supervisor of Parks and Cemeteries.
Dave was a very special husband and father. He loved spending time with his family. He loved to have fun and to laugh and joke. There were many happy times spent with Dave that will be remembered. He loved his horses, especially his gelding named "Smokey". That was a special horse that only he could ride. Dave liked riding his motorcycle as well and he enjoyed rebuilding motors, and pond building as well. Most of all, he just liked being "Dad". He loved his girls and protected them well. Dave was special and will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Dave is survived by his wife, Patty of Belle Fourche; 3 daughters, Jodi, Stefani, and Kari all of Belle Fourche; 2 sisters, Ermalene (Scott) Schlepp and Eva (Randy) Becker both of Ashley ND; and several nieces and nephews.
