Obituary

Darren would like you to know that his mission here is done. He received a call on Sunday, February 19, 2017, a sort of offer you cannot refuse. A fishing trip he will not be returning from. His new journey takes him to a wonderful place where he will be hunting, fishing, singing and dancing. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed.

On the day he was born to Burt and Mary (Jahner) Nehl the angels sang! They raised that man to be a soldier! Most importantly they taught him about the Lord our Savior. From there on he walked with faith and received many blessings because of it. He had the privilege to grow up with four beautiful sisters. They were his world and he would do absolutely anything for them.
He was a man of all trades. Ranching and working on vehicles was his calling. His calm nature brought so many people near to him. No job was neither too big or small. He had a never-ever give up attitude and wore it with a smile.

Sneaking into the kindergarten girl's bathroom he found the love of his life. From then on there was a connection that could never be broke. The two of them had unconditional love until his very last breath when he kissed his sweet wife goodbye. Above all his accomplishments, he was the most proud of his kids and family. They were his pride and joy.

He left detailed instructions to his children Hunter, Makense, Cooper, Ashton and Ty. We promised him to live our lives to the fullest and to never forget all the things he taught us. He was an incredible father who never raised his voice and showed his love through his actions. Darren's life was changed the day he was called "papa". Levi and his grandpa had a love for each other that only the two of them could understand. His children and his grandchildren will carry on his legacy forever.

Darren's journey and the bravery during his toughest trial, was an inspiration to his family and friends. We cannot wait to greet him at the gates of heaven someday! The music will be louder and the fishing will be better now that you are home. We love you Darren Ray Nehl.

Blessed to share his life are his wife Ronda, sons Hunter and Ty, daughter Ashton, daughter and son-in-law Makense and Cooper Wall and grandson Levi; his mother Mary Nehl, sisters Nancy (Brad) Olson, Nita (Kent) Weikum, Kim (Bob) Nutsh, Karen (Alan) Voller, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his dad Burt Nehl, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
