Danny David Hauge, age 66, of rural Leith, ND died very unexpectedly on Friday, November 29, 2019. Danny was born to Arnold & Hilda (Ketterling) Hauge on February 7, 1953. He grew up south of Leith and graduated from Carson HS. After Danny's dad passed away, he took over the family farm and actively farmed and ranched his whole life. He and Patsy take great pride in farming and raising cattle, including feeding out their calves and selling heavy calves every January. Danny & Patsy enjoyed taking drives around their neighborhood, looking at wildlife, checking crops, pastures & cows.

Danny attended countless auction sales over the years. He always was able to make and build many parts and was very handy at welding and repair. "Boom" spent many hours over the years in Pete's garage visiting and making repairs.

He was proud to instill the love of fishing and hunting in all of his children and now grandchildren. Camping and fishing with his family was always a highlight of every summer. Danny took many elk hunting trips to MT & WY over the years and a few in ND, too. Elk camp experiences led to countless stories that have been told and retold over the years.

Danny played many hands of pinochle, shot many games of pool and shook many cups of dice over the years. He always had a nickname for the people he cared about the most. He had the ability to sit down and talk to a stranger for hours, especially at gun shows. He also enjoyed going to pawn shops to look at (or buy) a new gun. Danny has smoked 1000's of pounds of sausage and bacon for family and friends and has perfected the job; his jerky was the best around.

Danny enjoyed life, family members, many friends and his faithful companion Moon. No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye. You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy, rural Leith, ND; children, Justin Hauge, Shepherd, MT, Trenton (Reva) Weekes, Carson, ND and Jessica (Andrew) Kongslie, Towner, ND; grandchildren, Garrett, Gavin and Abby Hauge, Shepherd, MT, Kendrick and Katelyn Kongslie, Towner, ND and Ashleigh and Ember Weekes, Jordan (Hannah), Jade, Joel and Jaxson Wruck, Carson, ND; his siblings, Elsie Emch, Sherwood Park, Canada, Carol (Marvin) Ritz, Almont, ND, Mike (Grace) Hauge, Deadwood, SD, Pat (Kathy) Hauge, Carson, ND, Charlie Hauge, Stanwood, WA, Melodie (Casper) Hartman, Carson, ND, Melanie (Owen) Wells, Carson, ND; father-in-law, Art Weekes Jr., Carson, ND; in-laws, Gene (Bert) Harper, Bismarck, ND, Dennell Weekes, Carson, ND, Doreen (Tom) Yantzer, Mandan, ND, Art (Barb) Weekes, Carson, ND, Denise Weekes, in MN; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ginny Larson and Linda Harper; brothers-in-law, Duane Emch, Jake Larson, Terry Fuchs; and mother-in –law, Darlene Weekes.
