Corey Van Boynton age 35 of Lemmon SD, passed away unexpectedly into his
Heavenly Father's Arms on October 13th, 2022.

Corey was born on May 20th, 1987 to Mark and Roslyn Boynton. He grew up in
South Dakota and later attended school in North Dakota. As a child, he had a
lovable but wild spirit, he loved climbing walls and was referred to as magic feet
by his dad. He loved to wear all kinds of cool and unusual hats for outings and
couldn't go a day without Winnie the Pooh. As he grew older, he longed to be a
teenage mutant ninja turtle and would often be seen practicing his ninja moves
with his wooden swords. His wonderful smile, as well as his comedic attitude
was sure to brighten any room. He was a jokester and loved to play pranks with
his family. He also had a competitive spirit, which was evident in the numerous
hours he spent playing basketball, baseball, wrestling, and video games.
In his early 20s, Corey had the opportunity to return to SD to be the caretaker for
his grandpa Van, as he battled ALS. His decision to do so displayed just how
selfless and loving he was. After his grandpa's death, he remained in SD on the
family farm, raising sheep and cattle alongside his dad, until his passing.
As an adult, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and his cat,
Guppy. He was a self taught musician and learned to play the guitar, as well as
the violin. He loved to cook and smoke meats, and enjoyed sharing his delicious
meals with others. He was a dedicated Vikings fan and wouldn't miss a chance
to discuss world events and politics. He was also very proud of his Dodge Rebel
truck and loved to hot rod on the dirt roads.

He was a devoted son, brother, "fun-cle", and grandson, never missing his
weekly meal with his mom and grandma, or an opportunity to entertain his
nieces and nephews. He had a heart of gold and always looked for the best in
everyone. He was always willing to help the less fortunate and took the time to
make everyone feel loved and accepted, especially those who were bullied or
left out.

The world was so much more beautiful with him in it. His smile, his laugh and his
beautiful soul will be missed greatly. And though his life here on earth was brief,
his memory will last through eternity. Rest easy and fly high Corey. Your work
here on earth is done, you are now a mighty warrior in God's Heavenly Kingdom.
We will see you soon.
