Funeral services for Collin Christman, age 23, of Hettinger, ND, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Hettinger Lutheran Church in Hettinger, ND. Pastor Kathleen Dettmann will officiate with burial to follow in the Hettinger Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a family service at 7:00 p.m. all at the Hettinger Lutheran Church in Hettinger, ND.

Collin Morris Christman, and his younger twin brother Cory, were born on February 22, 1993 to Dan and Peggy Christman in Hettinger, ND. At the young age of 11 months old, Collin was diagnosed with diabetes. As he grew up he attended elementary school in Hettinger, ND and Bismarck, ND.

From a very young age Collin had a passion for farming & hunting. During high school, he participated in golf & baseball for the Hettinger Black Devils. His hobbies included riding dirt bike, being at the lake, snowmobiling, ranching & driving semi with his golden retriever, Ike, at his side. In the spring of 2011, his dog Ike passed away. Since then, his dog Clutch has been by his side. Collin graduated high school in May of 2011. He was quoted during a graduation speech to be most likely to be "the next Dan Christman." Collin then went on to attend NDSCS for a diesel mechanic degree.

After graduating from college, he moved back to Hettinger to farm & ranch with his family. Over the last four years, Collin enjoyed hunting, fishing & farming with his best friend Clutch by his side. One of his favorite sayings was by Joe Nichols, "Unsinkable ships sink. Unbreakable walls break. Sometimes the things you think would never happen, happen just like that." Collin was an avid Dodge lover, with a very caring and open heart that wanted to help anyone out. He was very outgoing and loved social gatherings. Collin lived his life to the fullest and will be deeply missed. His life was taken to soon when he passed away on January 26th, 2017.

Keeping him in their fondest memories are his father, Dan Christman (Lynn Madsen), Hettinger, ND; mother, Peggy Christman (Dave Poppe), Bismarck, ND; sisters, Lacey (Tyler) Kostelecky, Hettinger, ND and Brooke (Garrett) Sanford, Mandan, ND; and his twin brother, Cory Christman, Hettinger, ND; his nieces and nephew, who were the lights of his eyes, Kylie and Bennett Sanford, and Kendyl and Shaylee Kostelecky; his paternal grandmother, Doris "Dode" Christman, Hettinger, ND; his maternal grandparents, Morris and Evonne Zahn, Bismarck, ND; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jacob "Jake" Christman.

A memorial will be established by his family.
