Per request there will be no livestream of Cindy's funeral service.

Cindy Schatz, 68, of New Leipzig, ND, passed away August 21, 2025, at Sanford Medical
Center surrounded by her family. Cindy's funeral will take place at 11am on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Leipzig, ND, officiated by Pastor John Amundson.

Cindy was born on June 26, 1957, in Elgin, ND to Andrew Verne and Delores (Plunkett) Raab. She grew up in Mott, ND with four sisters and six brothers. Cindy attended school in Mott, ND and graduated in 1976.

Cindy met Clifford Schatz at the Burt roller skating rink in 1973 and they later married on June 12, 1976, in Mott, ND. They built their life on the family farm north of New Leipzig, ND and were blessed with three children and nine grandchildren. Cindy worked alongside Cliff, farming and ranching for almost 50 years. She kept busy in the spring by working with the cattle, putting
anhydrous on the fields, and making sure several rows of potatoes were planted. Summers were spent baling hay, mowing the yard, planting more flowers, and taking on multiple other projects around the farm. Cindy's exceptional grain cart driving skills will certainly be missed during harvest. She was always working on a project of some sort, tackling a remodeling project or reorganizing something in the shop. Cindy enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, and finding new recipes.  Just as she loved growing and tending to her fields, Cindy was constantly supporting and encouraging her kids and grandkids, attending school and life events and always being one of their biggest cheerleaders. Cindy always looked forward to the next big holiday meal that she could plan and cook for her family.

Cindy is survived by her husband of 49 years, Clifford Schatz;
children, Jennifer (Bucky) Feigitsch of Bismarck, Brian (Amber) Schatz of New Leipzig, Brandon (Lacy) Schatz of New Leipzig; grandchildren, Morgan and Parker Feigitsch, Anna, Claire and
Logan Schatz, Ariel, Brayden, Quinn and Paxton Schatz; mother-in-law, Winnefred Schatz of Elgin; siblings, Dennis (Mary) Raab of
Carson, Sharon (Ray) Taylor of Miles City, MT, Tim Raab of
Dickinson, Wanda Norton (Shawn McFarland) of Mott, Norman Raab of Mott, Terry Raab of New Leipzig; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents Verne and Delores Raab; father-in-law, Clifford N. Schatz; sisters, Roberta Tilson and Glenda Masulis; brothers, Douglas Raab and Calvin Raab; sisters-in-law, Deborah Roth and Madonna Raab; brothers-in-law, Tom Tilson and Tom Masulis; nephew, Andrew Raab.
