Charla L. Mitchell age 83 of Spearfish, died Wednesday January 18, 2006 at the Dorsett Health Center in Spearfish.

The funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday at the Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in the Pine Slope Cemetery, Belle Fourche.

Charla Lucille Estes was born February 10, 1922 in Broadus, Montana. She was the daughter of Roy and Lucille (Malley) Estes. Charla grew up near Broadus where she attended school and later she received a Teaching Certificate after attending two years of college.

On January 5, 1942 she was married to R. K. "Tuffy" Mitchell in Casper Wyoming. They were blessed with 53 years of marriage, before his death in 1995. Charla was a hard worker, raising the children and she also worked as a grocery store clerk. For the past few years, Charla has resided in Spearfish.

Charla is survived by her children, Roy of Aladdin, WY, Michael of Aladdin, WY; Marilyn of Belfield, ND, Madelyn Geigel of Whitewood; brother, Boyd Estes of Seattle WA; and 8 grandchildren.
