Brittany was born September 14th, 1976 to Dale (Punk) and Colleen (Snook) Nichols at Hettinger Memorial Hospital, Hettinger, ND.
Brittany attended Reeder Public School through the 10th Grade. Upon the school's closing, she completed her education at Scranton Public High School graduating in May of 1994. Brittany, along with her cousin Charity Honeyman, spent the summers of 1993 and 1994 working at the Bella Vista Nursing Home in Rapid City, SD. Her uncle, Barney Nichols, was the Director of Nursing at this facility.
Brittany married Dennis Munro on September 20th, 1997 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Reeder, ND. Brittany worked as a CNA at the Hettinger Memorial Hospital for several years. After which, she worked at the Able Incorporated of Hettinger for 20 years. She loved her job and the sweet residents she cared for. Brittany had great passion for the elderly and those with special needs. She looked forward to taking them on their annual camping trips to Shade Hill and the Pow Wow in Bismarck, ND.
Brittany married Josh Anderson on December 8th, 2006. To this union two children were born: son, Nicholas Punk , and daughter, Shaye Marie. They were a fishing-gardening-canning fanatic family!
In her later years, Brittany loved cooking and baking. She and her friend, Brandy Beckman, enjoyed experimenting with new recipes, some made it to the table and some to the trash can. Knowing her mom was a woman of prayer, Brittany often shared the names of those, who were in need of prayer, from the Reeder, Scranton, Hettinger communities.
Brittany was preceded in death by her dad, Punk, in 2004. Both sets of grandparents, Elwyn & Sis Nichols and Glen & Pauline Doe. Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Nicholas and Shaye, of Hettinger, ND; her mom, Colleen (Snook) and Step-Father Michael Brandt of Sioux Falls, SD; her brother Chet (Jen) Nichols and niece and nephew, Kinley and Westin Nichols all of Fort Worth, TX; special friends and caregivers, Brandy Beckman of Hettinger and Dennis Munro of Reeder; her two fur babies, Stryker and Remi; and a host of family and friends.
At the family's request, memorials can be sent to Teen Challenge of Mandan, ND.
