Mardale "Bobbi" Anderson was born June 23, 1919 to Alex and Amy (Ashby)Anderson at Spencer, Nebraska. Bobbi was raised by her maternal grandparents, Fred and Della Ashby in rural Nebraska near Norfolk. She graduated from high school in Meadow Grove, Nebraska in 1937.

On July 30, 1947, she married Henry (Heinie) Hoffman, in Rapid City, SD and they moved to a farm near Morristown. In 1950, they bought the ranch north of Morristown where they lived until 1963. They then built a home two miles east of Lemmon on Hwy 12. Heinie died on September 5, 1986. In 1994, Bobbi moved to Bismarck where she lived until February of 2007 when she moved to Prairieview Nursing home in Underwood, ND. She passed away on Thursday, May 24, at MedCenter One in Bismarck.

During her years in Lemmon, she was active in the Lemmon Hospital Auxiliary, the ALCW of Calvary Lutheran Church, and on several bowling teams. She loved working in her yard, reading books, and visiting with her dear friends and family. She enjoyed the social and community life while on the ranch and while living in Lemmon. Her sense of humor, warmth and love of people will be long remembered.

In these last years, she enjoyed her many visits with Rosemary Miller, Judy Vasey, Wini Alkire, Blenda Christman, her sister Marge and many others, and her friends held a special place in her life. And of course, her brightest lights were those three little great-grandsons. She never tired of hearing of their latest antics.

Surviving family members include her daughter, Susan Kihne, Bismarck, ND; 2 grandchildren, Jason Kihne and his wife Renee, Brewerton, NY; Nancy and her husband Bryce Seefeldt, Mandan, ND; 3 great grandsons, Kaleb and Gabriel Kihne, & Taylor Seefeldt; 1 sister, Marjorie Carter, Albion, NE; 1 sister-in-law, Bernadine Slaymaker, Albion, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry (Heinie), 3 sisters, Ila Davidson, Betty Doolittle, and Geraldine Mackey; 1 brother, Darold Slaymaker.

Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 to 7:00pm at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon and on Tuesday one hour prior to services at Calvary Lutheran Church.
