ELIZABETH MARIAN KELSCH was born to Adam and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Kelsch on December 31, 1909 on the family farm south of Bentley, ND. She attended the Soli school and Bentley High School.

Elizabeth married Albert J. Yarosh in 1933. Al was the manager of the Fullerton Lumber Company. During their marriage, they lived in Bentley for several years, moved to Rhame, ND and were transferred to Mitchell, SD. Al joined the US Navy during WWII, and after the war, he and Elizabeth settled in Santa Rosa, CA. They lived there until Al's passing in 1987. Betty then moved to the Bentley/Mott area to be closer to family.

Betty indeed became the caregiver of her family. She was there to care for her sisters as they developed health problems. She continued to care for her two remaining brothers by making homemade soup "for the boys", who were both in their late eighties.

Betty continued to can beets and make jelly well into her nineties. She was known for her expertise in growing and arranging flowers.

She entered the Mott Good Samaritan Society nursing home on March 23, 2009, where she passed from this life on Saturday morning, December 10, 2016 at the age of 106 years, 11 months, and 9 days, just a few days shy of her 107th birthday.

A beloved Aunt to so many nieces and nephews, Betty was smart, with a wonderful sense of humor. Grateful for having shared in her life are her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Al, five sisters, Anna Hoherz, Eva Farnham, Lou Roebuck, Rose Manolovits, Irene Luchsinger, and two brothers, William and Joseph Kelsch.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established by the family.
