Bernice Ann Winkler took her last breath at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND surrounded by family on January 18, 2021.

Bernice was the inspiration of creativity, love, and kindness.

The beauty that transcended through her dolls, the wonderful pastries she shared, and the love and care spent making sure that everything was set beautifully for that special dinner to ensure you felt loved and welcomed at the table.

She was the keeper of compassion, of love, of wisdom, and of family.

In her 76 years she touched many lives, and she shared her smile and light with all those around her.

To know her was to love her.  The world is a better place because she was in it and it is the honor of her family and friends to carry on her legacy of strength and kindness.

Bernice was born in Marquette, Michigan September 9, 1944 to George and Edna Billings and spent her life raising a beautiful family.

On a sunny day you might find her attending to her flowers or sharing many stories over cups of coffee in the courtyard with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers.

Bernice is survived by her loving husband (Larry Winkler)

Her four children Brenda (Mike) Godfrey, Tieca (James) Ibea,

Auggie (Ann) Vereecken, Richard (Katie) Vereecken as well as her forever cherished grandchildren, Alex, David, Amanda Tianna, Brittany, Jordyn, David W. and Savina and her Great Grandson Noah.

Bernice is also survived by her four sisters and best friends (Jill, Bonnie, and Cordell).
