Beatrice (Betty) Weller, age 87, New Leipzig, ND passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center in Elgin, ND.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am MDT on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, New Leipzig with burial to follow at the Immanuel Cemetery.

BEATRICE MAE VALENDER was born March 28, 1928 in Stourbridge, England and raised there in an orphanage. Growing up she helped take care of children in a day care center. She met the love of her life, Albert Weller, during his tour in the US Army while serving in World War II. Betty left England for New Leipzig and married Albert on December 26, 1947 and became a naturalized US citizen on August 29, 1950.

Betty was an active member of the ILCW at Immanuel Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. In addition to raising two daughters and three sons, she babysat for many children in New Leipzig. She also enjoyed baking, playing canasta, riding her bike and taking care of her grandkids.

Survivors include her two daughters, Carol (Jerry) Roehrich, New Leipzig, ND; Nancy (Curtis) DeGree, Bismarck, ND; three sons, David (Debra) Weller, Bismarck, ND; Rick (Melody) Weller, Morgan Hill, CA; James (Sandra Jahr) Weller, Mandan, ND; fourteen grandkids, and seven great-grandkids.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Weller.
