ASTRID OLSON was born August 1, 1913 to Nels and Anna Olson in Duck Creek Township in rural Adams County, ND. She grew up on the family farm and attended school at the Pleasant View School. After completing her schooling she moved to the Shadehill, SD area and was hired by a family to do house work.

On November 9, 1940 she was united in marriage to Odin Davidson in Baker, MT. They made their home on a farm north of Hettinger. Odin and Astrid were blessed with 3 children; Allen, Mardell, and Leslie.

Astrid and Odin moved to Hettinger in the late 50's, where Astrid worked many years at the City Café as the baker and then at Halvorson's Super Value, also in the bakery, until her retirement. Astrid enjoyed these jobs very much as she had a passion for baking. She made the best caramel rolls ever and her lefse was always perfect.

After Astrid retired she volunteered at the Clothes Closet and especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. She also made beautiful quilts and enjoyed to embroider.

Astrid will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Astrid is survived by her children; Allen (Hazel) Davidson of Great Falls, MT, Mardell (Ernest) Wolf of Sioux Falls, SD, and Leslie (Fran) Davidson of Moose Lake, MN, sisters Doris Casey of St. Paul, MN and Agda Wifel of Pelican Rapids, MN; 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Preceding Astrid in death were her parents, her husband Odin, 7 brothers and one sister.
