Arthur "Art" Wolf, 84, of Mott, ND passed away from heart failure at his home on September 22, 2024, with his family by his side.

Art was born on February 17, 1940, the second of three sons to Joseph F. and Anna (Doll) Wolf. He was raised on the farm in rural Mott. He was a graduate of the Mott High School Class of 1958.

Art met the love of his life, Carol Mayer, on a blind date, arranged by Carol's uncle. They dated through her high school years and married on June 20, 1964. Art and Carol were blessed with four daughters and raised their family in Mott. Art worked at the grocery store in Mott for 43 years. He loved working with all the people and was great at his job. No one could pack groceries as good as him.

Art liked to be outside mowing lawns; puttering in the yard or garage; visiting with family, friends, and neighbors; and spending many hours at the park with his grandkids. He enjoyed going to auction sales and listening to the auctioneers. He was meticulous about having a clean vehicle inside and out and would always lend a helping hand in anyway he could. If you happened to be driving by and he was outside, he would drop what he was doing and give you a friendly wave. He was a kind and gentle soul.

Art is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Sandra Schwede of Bismarck, Shelley (Tim) Ames of Wimbeldon, Sherry (Tom) Kautzman of Mott, and Stacy (Jason) Schmalenberger of Hebron; 10 grandchildren, Taylor Schwede, Tate Schwede, Emily Ames, Megan Ames, Lucas Ames, Tanner Kautzman, Alyssa (Joao) Attuati, MaLynn (Josiah) Billock, Zachary Schmalenberger, and Zayden Schmalenberger; five great grandchildren, Ruth, Rebekah, Sarah, and Elizabeth Kautzman, and Ella Jo Attuati; in-laws, Rose Wolf, Cheryl and Vince Mosbrucker, Clara Senn, Duane Mayer, and Bob and Charlotte Wax; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Anna; brothers, Ervin and Raymond; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frank G and Ella Mayer; granddaughter-in-law, Katie Kautzman; great grandson, John David Kautzman; sister-in-law, Susan Mayer; and brother-in-law, Richard Senn.
