ArNeil Carlyn Erlenbusch passed from this earth on November 27th at the West River Regional Medical Center in Hettinger North Dakota after a lengthy illness. ArNeil was born on July 7th, 1939 in Watertown South Dakota to Elvera (Hansvold) and John Erlenbusch and grew up in Summit South Dakota. He was preceded in passing by his parents and grandparents.

Making his own way as a young man, he met and married the love of his life Kaylene (McIntyre) and they were fortunate to be blessed with three wonderful children, Todd (married to Xiomara) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jill Brinegar (married to Marty)also of Colorado Springs, and Kari Haberl (married to Tracy) of Brandon, South Dakota. They are also very proud of their 7 brilliant grandchildren whom he adored and loved deeply.

ArNeil was an avid outdoorsman and thoroughly enjoyed passing the traditions of fishing and hunting to his children and grandchildren. If it involved trapping, shooting or catching something, you could bet ArNeil had done it. He was proud to receive the 2008 Sportsman of the Year Award from the Cedar Creek Pheasant Hunters Hall of Fame. Time spent afield with Arnie was always a personally rewarding experience for those lucky enough to know him.

ArNeils choice of career in banking was fulfilling and special, allowing him to help people on a daily basis. As a noted professional, he also served on the Board of Directors for West River State Bank and was proud to recently receive the Hall of Fame Award in 2008 from the Independent Community Banks of North Dakota for over 40 years of dedication to his profession.

Arnies hobbies revolved around his western upbringing with many days spent on the back of a horse, dealing in cattle operations, riding his four wheelers and spending time with his close family and friends. If you were a friend of Arnies you gained a devoted friend for life with loyalty and commitment usually reserved for only the closest of family.

ArNeil's family would like to thank all of the good people that have come together to honor his life and help his family cope with the passing of a good man from this world.
