Funeral services for Anna Hauck, age 95 of Elgin, will be held at 10:30am Friday, April 18, at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Elgin. Pastor Dennis Kaiser will officiate with burial in the Burt Hope Cemetery.


Serving as casketbearers are Aaron, Beni, and Roger Hauck and Jodi Perkins.


ANNA HAUCK was born January 4, 1913 near Glen Ullin, ND to Fredrick and Julia (Hensal) Hauck. The family moved quite often and Anna started school at Maple Leaf, SD. The family lived in the Mott, Burt and Carson, ND areas where Anna cared for her parents and younger siblings. She moved to an apartment in New Leipzig and moved into Dakota Hills in Elgin in 2005. In the fall of 2007, she moved to the Jacobson Memorial Care Center. Anna passed from this life there on Monday, April 14, 2008.


She enjoyed embroidering, weaving, knitting, crocheting, and loved reading.


Surviving family members include her sister, Martha Scott, in Washington; 1 brother, Fred Hauck, in Florida; 3 sisters-in-law, Elsie Hauck, Elgin, ND; Mary Hauck, West Virginia; Erna Hauck, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Hilda White, and Leah Lucas; 5 brothers, Wilbert, Art, Reuben, Ben, and Elmer Hauck.


Visitation will be Thursday, 1:00 to 5:00pm at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Elgin.
