He was a very active and dedicated member of the community of Hettinger, North Dakota. For many years he assisted the high school students working on their Science Fair Projects and with Inger, they worked their large garden together, then sold produce at the Farmer's Market again putting his degree in Horticulture and love for flowers to use.
A Celebration of Anders' life will take place during the summer of 2016.
The family would like to thank the wonderful people in the communities of Flaxton and Hettinger, North Dakota. The Christensen's emigrated from Denmark through Canada to America in 1979 and the people of Flaxton opened their hearts and homes to them. Many families assisted them as they settled in Flaxton and learned the ways of their new country. There are so many people that deserve "A Big Thank You!" we are sure you know who you are! The family wants to specifically include the Jacobsen family as they all have always treated the entire Christensen clan as an extension of their family. The Christensen's believe the support of this tiny community opened many doors for wonderful opportunities and future successes.
In Hettinger, the Christensen family was much smaller (Anders, Inger, and Henrik) however; the family again experienced a WELCOMING community of great people. The co-workers at Hill Crest and the hospital became close friends and supporters of the family. "A Big Thank You!" is extended to the community of Hettinger, as well!
