Funeral services for Alice Fischer, 88, of Carson, ND will be Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. MT at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Carson.  Rev. Bethany Haberstroh will officiate and burial will follow at the Carson Community Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. MT at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Elgin, ND on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019 followed by a Family Service at 6:00 p.m. MT.

Alice (Fraase) Fischer was born on February 24, 1930, in Freda, ND, to Fred and Elizabeth (Bushold) Fraase. She was raised and attended school in Freda. Alice married Frank Fischer on December 4, 1953, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Carson, ND. In July of 1957, they purchased the service station at the north end of Main Street in Carson which became Frank's Standard Service. In 1980, they purchased a farm outside of Carson and started milking cows and raising chickens. Frank and Alice were blessed with four children: Joel, Noel, Ron (Julie), and Karen (Gregory).

Throughout her life, Alice had many jobs, but her favorite was working at the Carson Senior Meals Program. She lovingly cooked and delivered meals to the residents of Carson for several years.

Alice was an avid gardener, baker, and bowler. She always had a large garden, both when they lived in town and at the farm. Alice had a cake decorating business for many years, baking beautiful and delicious cakes for weddings, anniversaries, graduations, and birthdays. Alice also enjoyed participating in a bowling league in Flasher. Alice's family will always treasure the time spent with her in her garden and the special cakes she would make for their birthdays.

Alice passed from this life on Monday, January 28, 2019, at Jacobson Memorial Care Center in Elgin, ND.

Alice is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Rodger and Sharleen Fraase, Dickinson; her children, Joel Fischer, Mobridge, SD, Noel Fischer, Ron (Julie) Fischer, and Karen (Gregory) Scholes, all of Carson; seven grandchildren, Travis and Cassie Fischer, Watertown, SD, Josh Fischer, Aaron and Lesley Fischer, all of Mobridge, Nikki and Jordon Everding, Sioux Falls, SD, Jared Fischer and fiancée Sarah Carter, West Fargo, Otis Scholes, and Kayla and Jacob Tatro, all of Carson; and three great-grandchildren, Allison Fischer, Caleb Fischer, Watertown, and Ella Everding, Sioux Falls.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Fred Fraase and Ronald Fraase; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ina and Glenn Udell, Elaine and Kasper Laches, and Adeline and Chuck Chadwick; and great-grandson, Alex Fischer.
