Albina M. (Benes) Edinger, 89, McIntosh, SD, left us on Friday evening, March 26, 2010 for a life of eternal peace at Western Horizons Care Center in Hettinger, ND. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing.


The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30am MDT, Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in McIntosh. Fr. Jim Hoerter will officiate with burial in St. Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery at McIntosh.


A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church.


Special music will be provided by Connie Maier, organist.


Serving as Honorary Casketbearers are Larry Langerman, Terry Dolecheck, Tom Dolecheck, Mark Norton, and all of Bene's nieces and nephews.


Serving as Active Casketbearers are Ryan Edinger, Gordon Norton, Lyle Norton, Tracy Norton, Donnie Dillman, and Derek Dillman.


Albina M. (Benes) Dolecheck was born April 16, 1920 to Clem and Mary (Faiman) Dolecheck in Watauga, SD. She attended rural schools near Watauga and McIntosh and graduated from McIntosh High School in 1941. After high school, she worked at the Corson County Courthouse in McIntosh for three years. On November 24, 1944, she married Leslie H. Edinger and from this union they had one son, Bob. They lived on the family farm and enjoyed many years together. Last November, Les and Benes celebrated 65 years of marriage.


Benes loved her family dearly and loved spending time with her relatives, especially her two grandchildren, Heather and Ryan. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandma. She adored her great granddaughter, Kaylee Nicole. She was an excellent quilter and also enjoyed crocheting, reading, and gardening. She was a hard worker and would have done anything for her family. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.


Benes is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Leslie, her son, Bob (Judy) Edinger, all of McIntosh, SD; her two grandchildren, Heather (Curt) Abfalter and Ryan Edinger, her great granddaughter, Kaylee Schwalk, all of Bismarck, ND; two brothers, Chris (Eileen) Dolecheck, Mobridge, SD, Frank (Lola) Dolecheck, Billings, MT; one sister, Virginia Norton, Hot Springs, SD; and many nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Louis, Emil, and Albert Dolecheck, and four sisters, Christine Dolecheck, Rose Post, Tina Langerman, and Veronica Stoick.


Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church in McIntosh.
